This is the bird I love in Uganda.

90% of their food is mammal!

I dreamed of seeing this bird.

I finally went to seek for the bird.

ちょーかっこいいっしょ！

この圧倒的な存在感。

ウガンダで一番見たい鳥。

食べ物の９０％は哺乳類。

この鳥、サルも襲えるぐらいなので、足を広げると20cmもあります。

わたしが手を広げた幅とおなじ。おそろしー！

This bird can even prey primates. 

Their span is 20cm, which is almost as same size as me! 

この鳥があたしゃどうしても見たい。

だから行ってきました。

待ち合わせした仲間は、なんと待ち合わせ場所を間違え2時間遅れ。笑

もうそんなことにも動じなくなったわたし。強くなりました。

Some of our team members mistaken for the forest. They came 2 hours later than we planned.

This is unbelievable but I am used to it.

Ugandan natural forest is called tropical rainforest, however it looks like forest in Hokkaido.

熱帯雨林と呼ばれているが、見た目は日本の森と雰囲気似てるんです。

ほんとにきれいなんですよ。

でもね、木の背が高すぎ。鳥をみようとしても上すぎて、

双眼鏡覗こうとすると、同時に口が開きます。

I told our guide, Vincent that I came to see the bird.

He just whistled himself.

ガイドのビンセントにこの鳥が見たいんだけど、って事情を話したら、

すぐさま鳴きまねをしてくれたんです！

Do you know what happened??

As soon as he finishes imitating, we heard the real bird call

そしたらね、

めっちゃびっくりしたことに、ホンモノがすぐ鳴き返してきたんですよ！

ちょっと信じられん！

次の瞬間

When we look up the sky, 

上空に現れたんっすよ！

もーーーカンゲキったらありゃしない。

飛びながら鳴いてんの。

見た目とギャップありすぎる、かわいい鳴き声。

It was in the sky!!

They were flying and also singing.

I was super happy!!

I even felt I could go back to Japan because I have achieved my goal...

I am joking.

もうね、はっきり言って感無量ですわっ。

うれしくて泣いた。

わたしが「あの鳥になら襲われてもいい、むしろ襲ってくれってかんじ」って言ったら、いつものごとくドン引きされたけど、かまうものか。分かる人には分かるのじゃ。

夢がかなった今、

まだ８ヶ月あるけどもう帰国してもいいかもしれんと思ってしまったのでした。笑
