三種の神器がない生活 Life without Fridge, TV, Washing Machine

日本語は下に書きました。 

Now, I am living without 3 elements of life.

TV, Refrigerator, Wahing mashine.

The first one, TV, it is no problem. I can access to podcasts to catch up with the latest news.
Even in Japan, we had one-segment TV and hardly watched TV.
I am confident I can live without TV.

Second, Refrigerator...

It is hard but I am trying♪
It is around 15-25 degrees in Kampala, so refrigerator is not necessary.
However, I found I cannot keep meet, chees and the left over dish, that is sad.
Therefore, the day I go shopping is the only day I am able to eat meet.
Since beef is cheapest in Uganda, I enjoy it almost everytime I go to the market.

Finally, Washing machine!!!

I need it, desparately!
Since I came to Uganda, I appreciate the importance of washing machine, especially about the dehydrating function!!

I am washing my clothes everyday by hands and I found the hardest part of washing is actually the squeesing process! It is hard, so hard that I can feel my upper limb mustle got ache.

Underwear or shirts are fine, however I have no idea how I could squees bed sheets, or a blanket.
I respect mothers in Africa who are living and raising children without having washing machine, fridge and even gas for cooking.




To be honest, washing machine is a luxury stuff.
I truly appreciate the fact that I have electricity and water supply because I was supposed to live without them.




今、三種の神器がない生活しています。

テレビ、冷蔵庫、洗濯機　がない。

テレビない→こりゃ問題ない。だって、日本でもワンセグしかなかったもん。

冷蔵庫ない→ちょっとつらい。肉やチーズが保存できない。買い物に行った日が「お肉の日♥」日本であまり肉を食べなかったのですが、ウガンダに来たらなんと価格が、鶏、豚、牛肉の順なのです。牛肉が一番安い。
で、すごくおいしいので、肉を選ぶときは必ず牛肉食べてます。牛がすごい詰め詰めでトラックに乗せられてるのを見ますが、だからこそ頂かなくては、、という意味不明な理由づけで牛肉食べてます。（週末はすきやきしよっ♥）

洗濯機ない→これ、一番ツラーイ！！
毎日洗っているけどゆううつです。
脱水という機能がいかにすばらしいものだったかを実感しています。
しぼるのタイヘン！！
下着だのシャツだのはなんとかなるけど、、ベッドシーツとかどうすんの？って感じです。
腕の筋肉が痛いっ。

そうして考えるとアフリカのかあちゃんは偉大だと。
洗濯機も冷蔵庫もガスも水もないのに何人も子どもを育ててる・・・。





とはいえ、もともとは電気も水もないと言われていたのに、その二つがあるというだけでも本当にありがたいと思う毎日です。
